Pinguicula rosettes are very fragile and often lose leaves or fall apart when unpacked or planted. Some varieties, such as Pirouette, Agnata ..., can fall apart from impacts during transport.
Such leaves should be placed on the substrate, they will produce new plants, similarly to the natural way of reproduction in nature.
